MBA Dept. National Conference "VOWEL" held on April 26

Department of Management Studies, BMIT Jaipur hosted conference on "Voice of Women Entrepreneurs & Leaders" on April 26, 2010.

Entrepreneurial spirit is now coming up to conquer the limited scope of being into papad and pickles business. With the advent of the ICE Age women are challenging the intricacies of Biotechnology, IT industry, Media and Entertainment and other industries with their entrepreneurial and leadership qualities.

To ponder over the stumbling blocks, challenges being faced by women entrepreneurs and leaders, The Department of Management Studies at BMIT, organized a National Conference VOWEL-Voice of Women Entrepreneurs & Leaders on 26th April 2010.

It was well attended conference having delegates from all over the country. The research papers threw light on the challenges, issues, contribution and the institutional support required to overcome the shortcomings. Some delegates spoke about the various schemes offered by commercial banks and various financial institutions for women entrepreneurs. Deliberations also included evaluation of the role of women entrepreneurs in the Indian Economy. This Conference has aroused the interest of both students, academicians, social workers and others to indulge in research activity related to women entrepreneurs.

The conference was inaugurated at 9 :30 AM by key note speakers Ms. Reshma Azmi (Public Health Worker-UNFPA), Mrs Rubi Dwivedi-Dean Udai Institute of Management and Mr Nishi Kant Bohra-Corporate Trainer and Facilitator with their valuable presentations on the conference theme, which was followed by the first session of paper presentations by different scholars came from all the corners of India. In the evening, Principal Dr R.K. Khanna and Prof S.C Jain concluded the Conference by giving a Vote of Thanks.
